CREATIVE BRIEF: The alumni department was looking for a gift box to be put together for Alumni Meet-Ups in different cities. The box needed to be light enough to be flown, intentional enough to feel appreciate by attendees, and keep the general feel of the college messaging and branding.
KEY IDEAS: Wide demographic, limited packaging options, intentional gift choices
I wanted the gift box to include items that were useful to both a man and a woman, but still held a high amount of symbolism. After researching, I landed on the concept of a candle and matchsticks. These items are not only currently trending, but also align with the Torch that is the symbolic representation of the schools' mission.
The symbolism was even further stretched after connecting with an alumnus who runs a candle making company in Birmingham called Village Apothecary. By connecting with her, we were able to collaborate on a candle that wasn't just for alumni, but was also created by one.

The custom box includes the college's branding along with the four values of the alumni department: celebrate, care connect, and collaborate.

Custom matchsticks with "The Alumni Network" included in the design.

Travel sized candle with the custom label and a card from Jordan recognizing the collaboration between the college and her business as an alumnus.

Card that fit on top of the packed box that gave a CTA for alumni to join the online network.
