CREATIVE BRIEF: Alpha USA is non-profit organization that provides resources and training for churches to run the "Alpha course," a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Every year they host a conference to connect with pastors and share updates on their services. Based on their 2024 theme, "Good News In A Good Way", the team was looking for a conference brand to use across several avenues:
+ Digital Platforms (Brushfire, website, app)
+ Signage and Environmental
+ Merchandise
+ Slideshow Presentations
All in pursuit of having a cohesive theme across the whole event weekend. The design needed to aligned with the pre-existing brand of Alpha USA.
IDEATION
The event has an evergreen logo that they prefer to use year after year to keep some consistency between events:
After considering the theme of this year, I knew I wanted to mimic the filled in "O" in the evergreen logo into the theme phrase. After playing around with this idea and inspired by work like Bauhaus, I landed on this look:
By using the "O" as a shape, this also allowed me to create a icon for the event with the four circles stacked.
This became a consistent pattern and the star made from the negative space of the four circles also became a motif for the event.
The result was that the look aligned with the evergreen logo while feeling playful and reflecting the intention of connection at the event.

The first set of deliverables were for the marketing team to start announcing the date and information out on their apps, Brushfire, and social media.
print + signage
In order to transform the venue, this project require an assortment of signage to identify different spaces and keep the brand present from the moment attendees arrived on campus.
SIDEWALK SIGNAGE
This included mostly directional signage both in the style of the event and evergreen designs that could be used in future events.
BANNERS
Each designed to indicate different areas around the venue. Included the filled "O" for consistency.
GREETING SIGNS
Used to indicate to arriving guests that they're in the right place.
This project included a great deal of additional signage, including but not limited to: posters, flags, step and repeat backgrounds, and on-site prints for last minute room assignments.
MERCHANDISE + OTHER ITEMS
Along with signage, the team was looking to sell a few merch items as well as handout several free items upon the arrival of attendees. The handout items included:

An assortment of designs that include both the event look along with other department logos and catch phrases within their organization.
TATTOOS: Part of the event included a temporary tattoo station. All designs utilized important language from different Alpha curriculums and services.
