CREATIVE BRIEF: Create a look for an online vintage store managed through Instagram. The name, "Life of Riley Vintage", is an homage to the owner's grandfather who greatly inspired her love for vintage items. The look needs to feel fun and incorporate her grandfather in some capacity. 
For this design, I was greatly inspired by illustrators from the 50's and 60's, including Bernice Myers and Albert Aquino. Their style of drawing people feels fun and classic, which felt appropriate for a vintage brand. The client had specific requested a concept with her grandfather in it, specifically in a float that he frequented at family pool gatherings. 
After sketching several different designs, I landed on three key concepts that I sent over to the client to hear her thoughts on each of them. She loved them all, but ultimately chose to move forward with Concept 1.

The final deliverable package included the look's font pairings, access to the alternative concept, and a custom pattern with hand drawn illustrations for story graphics. As a vintage shopper myself, creating this look was a great way to combine both passions.
