CREATIVE BRIEF: As a part of ceremony honoring the architech behind much of the college campus, the event needed a handout that outlined the life and legacy of Gary Larson. The team wanted the handout to feel appropriate for a solemn event and to include the outdoor space Gary designed before his passing.
The Larson Knoll is a beautiful outdoor space designed by Gary Larson to be a place of solace and prayer. I wanted the design to reflect this same peacefulness and knew it would be important to include an illustrated version of the space. Using a combination of sketches and filter options in Photoshop, I was able to recreate the space as an illustrated piece of work.

I suggested using a linen style paper to give an elevated but natural look to the program. After working with the copy provided by the team, I landed on the following layout and mocked up the design with the linen texture.

I'm incredibly proud with how this project turned out. The ceremony was a beautiful testimony of his work and it was an honor to create something that shared his legacy with everyone.
